Christmas and scents always go together in my mind. The spicey smells of the Glühwein ( glogg)on the famous Christkindlesmarket ( the, so said, oldest and most romantic christmas market in Germany) of my city, together with some almounds and caramell from typical sweets and the aroma of open fire and roasting Nürnberger Bratwürstl ( sausages). Together with this, teatimes, homemade cookies, Lebkuchen, another sweet and fine speciality from here-the piny smell of the christmastrees inside and outside. It seems endless to talk about this smelling impressions. Lately there are many perfumes, called Gourmet scents that fit perfectly the sweet side of this memories, and some clients seem somehow to have this same memories hidden inside. The same scents gave a special smile on the faces to Ladies and Gents in my last perfume seminars. This smile of ´I do remember´. This happens always mostly before christmas. People who go defenitly to the green and fresh perfume element suddenly discover the candy cotton and almound section. This time of the year and the upcoming memories have a special impact, even sometimes we are all tired and stressed. And its most important to keep them and to give such moments to our children. This is the essence of soal, nothing less. How nice if this essence has a scent.
